I used this product in my fireplace (gel fuel). I like the heat it produces and the crackle and glo of a real fireplaces.The only thing I'm not thrilled about is it produces a odor like sterno you use in warmers,also it does put soot on the back of the firebox, which is no big deal cause I wipe the back down after each use, But yes it does produce soot.Yes I will buy again for I can't find fuel around here at the stores. It's okay but I am a little dissappointed in it.

This Fireglo Gel fuel is the worst. there were so many problems, I cannot even begin. Everything negative you would think about a gel fuel, fireglo shows. The manufacturer didnt, and wouldnt address my concerns ( took weeks to find them, they dont put contact info on their label) Gee, I wonder why! Creepy manufacturer. CSN was great though. I should have stuck with Sunjel.

THIS PRODUCT IS NOT RECOMMENDED FOR INDOOR USES WHAT SO EVER!! IT GIVES OFF VERY, VERY TOXIC VAPORS AND IF INHALED TOO MUCH, AT ONCE, CAN BE A HAZARD! THIS FACT NEEDS TO BE ADDRESSED BY THIS COMPANY AND NEEDS TO HAVE A WARNING LABEL ATTACHED TO EACH CAN!!

I love this product except some cans give off this smell, and it lingers the whole time it is burning. I love the fact it sounds like a real fire.

I'm on my second case, using it in an old coal stove (not connected to a flue or chimney -- it is great! I really hope it isn't toxic to breathe, though.

Canned fire gel is a great product! I love being able to have a fireplace in a high-rise apartment, and the can really does throw moderate heat. I find 1-2 cans per session plenty for visual interest and heat. Only drawback is the cooked chemical smell when the can expires. Try to re-lid it before then!
